Villa
Turicum |
Four elms grace the long grassy mall that leads to the residence at "Villa Turicum". I first stumbled upon the ruins of Villa Turicum when stationed at Fort Sheridan, Illinois while in the US Army back in 1981-84. Some friends and myself were very intrigued with it, but could find little information about it. This past year I was lucky enough to have some contact with people who did know some about Villa Turicum, and they pointed me in the right direction to research. I did find some excellent photos of the mansion in its glory in a June 1930 American Landscape Architect, and will share those with some that I took myself. Hopefully others will find it as fascinating as I have. Interested in wall fountains? Check out this awesome company! Wall Fountains
